GPS is used on your device. If you turn on rain alerts, a position rounded to about 1 km is sent to the alert service so it knows where to check — nothing more precise, and nothing when alerts are off.
No cookies. No advertising trackers. No third-party analytics. One anonymous ping per day records only whether the app was opened as a PWA or in a browser — no identifier, no location. Opt out any time.
Open-Meteo, OSM, OSRM, Rainbow.ai, Met Éireann, CARTO may log IPs per their own policies.
